Parts of a Computer

The computer lab lesson for Kindergarten was written to teach students about what the basic parts of the computer do. Because most of the elementary students couldn't read fluently yet, I recorded all of the audio. Students would listen to the entire message before moving to the slide that followed. At the end, I incorportated click and show quizzes for feedback.

This lesson is built for kindergarten students, and the left side navigation bar is hidden to keep them on task. Students listened to the audio before being given the choice to navigate to the next slide.

Teachers requested an interactive lessons that would also have a short quiz for understanding. Some challenges I faced were the reading level of the students, but this was easily overcome by incorporating audio,

Together with the SME we decided that students should be able to navigate with the previous and next buttons after listening carefully to the directions. The navigation buttons would only show after the student listened to the directions in their entirety.

When it was time for the quiz ,even the feedback was recorded audio. Students were able to try again until they got the correct answer.
